Call to Action Challenge

Look to the future by sharing your Call to Action for the next three years.

In this unprecedented time and as we look ahead to our organization’s 100th anniversary in 2023, we are launching a Call to Action challenge with you, our members and community.

The Global Alliance for Behavioral Health and Social Justice has historically been at the forefront of innovation—emphasizing the prevention of problems and promotion of health; recognizing the effects of social and environmental factors on the behavioral health of children, youth, and adults; promoting the creation and adoption of policies to address issues that affect behavioral health and well-being; and acknowledging the contributions of diverse disciplines to behavioral health service delivery and sound policy development. Our members have embodied a breadth of perspectives that transcend any single discipline or orientation. Our tradition of focusing attention on the needs and rights of people, and their voices, is as strong today as it was in 1923.

How to participate:

  1. Create a widescreen (16:9) PowerPoint slide (download the conference PowerPoint template, if you'd like!) or design a JPG (1200x675 pixels; is a great free tool).

  2. Include your call to action sentence and your name (optional). Make your slide/image as simple as you want, or feel free to put on your artist's smock and have a little bit of fun with it.

  3. Email your slide/image to [email protected] by 12pm EDT on Friday, 10/9. (The earlier the better!)

  4. Join us for the Call to Action session at 3pm EDT on Friday, 10/9 when we'll share the slideshow compilation!

  5. Encourage your peers to also make a commitment by sharing your Call to Action on social media with the hashtag #Together4Action2020.
